You know what? Maybe this never crossed your mind before, but can grandparents be actually *gasp* hipper than your own parents?
Take this scenario
Mum: *Looking at my hair* Mel, go cut your hair after Chinese New Year. Like that very ugly.
Me: ...
And then this
Me: *playing Mahjong*
Grandma: Mel, your hair like this nice.
Me: Huh? But your son says not nice. Ask me to cut.
Grandma: Ha? Not nice meh? There! Even my grandma can accept this hair length(plus colour), why not my parents? The worst part is, my dad himself is guilty of long hair in his youth! Where is the justice!
*Shakes fist*
It's just hair. And red highlights. Why make such a fuss. And besides, I keep hair cause I like it, not like it's peer pressure(I don't see Alwyn keeping long hair haha.)
Another irritating thing is this, bunches of foreign workers running across the road. I have nothing if they're running across the road when its empty but when the green man just changed to red and the green light is already showing for the cars to move, they still just... run like dumb animals.
I know India is
overpopulated overpopulating. But there's no need to resort to this means right? Over there you get run over, no one gives a hoot. Maybe your family will shed some tears and the undertaker will worry about whether he's going to get paid for services rendered or not.
Come here, get banged and then scratch our car. It's worse if they're on bikes(80% of them are. The remaining 20% travel in groups to poh heng sway and see who gets more seriously injured.)
*Lightning strikes from above*
Oh my God. Could there be a reason why they cross the road like that? Is it because when they do... they want to be like JAY?(JAYwalk). Let's face it, even if they bleach their skin(ala MJ), straighten their hair a few times and mumble in Mandrin/Hokkien, they can never be Jay.
Suggest we educate them on the perils of jaywalking and hope they jaywalk with more sense?
Probably won't register anyway. =D
